Education

Communities in Schools of the Nation’s Capital (CISNCAP) surrounds students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life. During the 2022-23 school year, CISNCAP worked in ten DC public schools throughout Wards 5, 6, 7, and 8, reaching over 4,300 students and their families and providing intensive case management for more than 400 students.

Beacon House provides children in the Edgewood neighborhood of Northeast Washington, DC with a safe, nurturing, and life-expanding community in which to increase their academic achievement, discover their talents, and grow into healthy adults who achieve their greatest potential.

Community Youth Advance (CYA) fills existing gaps and harnesses the power of community to help underprivileged youth excel in school and in life.
