Housing

The mission of The Wanda Alston Foundation (WAF) is to eradicate homelessness for LGBTQIA2S+ youth ages 18-24 and to ensure that they have access to services that improve their quality of life. The WAF is the only housing program in Washington, DC solely dedicated to offering pre-independent transitional living and support services to LGBTQIA2S+ youth experiencing or at risk of homelessness in all eight wards

My Sister’s Place shelters, supports and empowers survivors of domestic violence and their children, while providing leadership and education to build a supportive community. For over 40 years, MSP has provided care through hotlines, domestic violence shelters, and continued aftercare to help survivors build independent lives.
