Many Hands Presents $58,500 Grant to New Endeavors by Women

Many Hands Board and Housing Committee members visited New Endeavors by Women (NEW) to present Executive Director Wanda Steptoe with a check for $58,500. The 2019 Many Hands Housing finalist, NEW seeks to end the cycle of homelessness by providing housing, fostering the development of life skills, and promoting education and employment for unaccompanied women and women with children. They will use their 2019 Many Hands grant to support New Journeys II, an open-ended permanent supportive housing program that offers structure and support in apartments for 15 women aged 55 and older.
