Many Hands members are invited to join the DMV Collective Giving Network on Tuesday, March 2 for a free workshop on Trust-Based Philanthropy sponsored by the DMV Collective Giving Network:

Nonprofits have always been on the front lines of meeting our communities’ needs, and the global pandemic has reinforced the importance of cultivating trust between donors and nonprofits. If donors can approach their giving from a place of trust, with a commitment to alleviating power imbalances, nonprofits will be much more effective at meeting their communities’ most urgent needs. In this session, Shaady Salehi of the Trust-Based Philanthropy Project will share the rationale behind why a trust-based approach is so important, how it connects to unbiased consciousness, and what the urgency of this moment can teach us about how to consider donor-grantee relationships for the long haul.

When: Tuesday, March 2, 11:00 am – 12:30 pm
