Many Hands members joined the Catalogue for Philanthropy (CFP) at Arena Stage on October 28 to celebrate CFP’s 2019 Community Changemakers. DC Council Member David Grosso; Becky Lee, founder of Becky’s Fund; and Nate Mook, executive director of World Central Kitchen, were recognized for their work. But the real stars of the evening were the 112 nonprofits who make up the Catalogue’s 2019-20 class.
To be included in the Catalogue, organizations must have budgets under $4 million, be based in and serve the greater Washington area, and go through a rigorous vaetting process. This year’s diverse class includes organizations ranging from Dog Tag Bakery, which provides professional training and work experience for veterans and military spouses and caregivers, to Creative Cauldron, a nonprofit theater company in Falls Church.
