Dear Members and Friends,
We hope that you and those close to you are staying safe and healthy during this challenging time. Like you, we have been following news reports about the severe impact the coronavirus outbreak and resulting economic turmoil are having on nonprofit organizations and the people they serve. Now, more than ever, local nonprofits will need grant funds to remain afloat and continue serving women, children, and families in need.
Many Hands remains committed to completing the 2020 grant cycle. We have made changes to our grantmaking process to safeguard the health of our members and the staff and clients of potential partners. Site visits going forward will be conducted online, and we are reviewing options for the Annual Meeting. We will communicate with you soon regarding our plans.
In addition, many local organizations, including Many Hands grantees, are mobilizing to address the immediate needs of vulnerable members of our community. We will be sharing information about opportunities to support these efforts on Facebook and Instagram.
As a collective giving organization, we have long believed in the power of what our whole community can do if we pool our resources. The scope and potential impact of this crisis are immense, but we believe in this community and our ability to make things better together.
Stay well.
With warm regards,
The Many Hands Board
