Emerita Board Member Tracy Ganti joined Many Hands in 2016, and has served on all four FACs, as well as on the Board of Directors from 2016 to 2021. She is the Director of Corporate & Foundation Relations at World Central Kitchen, an organization founded by Chef José Andrés, dedicated to providing hot meals to communities impacted by crises.

How would you describe yourself to people meeting you for the first time?

I’m a connector and strategist who loves being part of something bigger than myself, collaborating with others to create meaningful impact and positive change in the world.

What have been some of the highlights of your involvement in Many Hands?

Many Hands has reinforced my belief that when we come together with a shared purpose, we can make a more meaningful impact than what any of us could achieve alone. I’ve had the privilege of meeting many incredible women along the way. Their personal and professional experiences have brought new perspectives, ideas, and energy into every conversation, enriching the work we do together. They have challenged me to think differently, broaden my own views, and inspire new approaches to how we make an impact. But beyond the work, I’ve been fortunate to form deep, lasting friendships with many of them—connections that have become an essential part of my life. The work of the Many Hands FACs has always felt organic and dynamic. We can never predict what will resonate or who will emerge as a finalist. It’s this fluidity that makes the work so engaging—what matters most is driven by the people, the causes, and the circumstances of that particular year. This ever-changing landscape is what keeps the work fresh and impactful.

What inspires you to get going each day? How do you sustain your inspiration?

My role at World Central Kitchen allows me to connect with organizations that can help fuel our life-saving work. What I love most about this role is the opportunity to build authentic relationships that enable us to be better, faster, and more efficient in our relief efforts. I’m driven by the belief that we can all contribute to something bigger than ourselves, and I’m energized by the power of collaboration. Whether it’s seeing a community impacted by the work I help fund or knowing that a small action can spark a larger movement, those moments fuel my drive. My two daughters also serve as a constant source of inspiration. Watching them grow and develop their own sense of purpose, and seeing the impact they want to make in the world, reminds me every day why I’m committed to this work.

In what ways can Many Hands continue to advance our work?

Bringing diverse voices to the membership and into the committees is crucial: diversity—whether in terms of background, perspective, or experience—helps ensure that we are addressing the full spectrum of needs within our community and approaching challenges from every angle.
