On Thursday, January 12, 2017, Many Hands members who have chosen to work on a Focus Area Committee, met to begin the 2017 grantmaking process.

Members of the four committees, Education, Health, Housing, and Job Readiness, will now begin researching qualified nonprofit organizations, performing site visits, reading grant applications, and interviewing staff. A review of every group’s financial health will also be conducted. Each committee will ultimately select one nonprofit to be considered by  the full membership of Many Hands.

On Thursday, May 18, 2017, all voting members will meet to hear presentations by the four committee finalists and will then cast their votes for the $100K grant. Smaller grants will also be awarded.
