Kim oversees finances and tax compliance for a boutique IP law firm in Potomac, Maryland. She participates as a parent and informal advisor in a Washington, DC-area youth social entrepreneurship nonprofit. She also supports two local STEM educational nonprofits and Rice 360 Institute for Global Health, whose mission is to mentor undergraduates to design inexpensive, life-saving medical devices to reduce infant mortality in Malawi. Kim is a former refugee. She holds a degree in electrical engineering.
